It’s not very often I get excited about yet another AR15 on the market, yesterday was the exception. It had been a busy day training with Federal, State and Local Agencies making sure their tactical skills were up to snuff and it had been a long day indeed.
I was barely done with the evolution when I received a cryptic text from Shaun at The Gun Room Inc. with a couple of interesting looking guns. I stripped off my tac gear and loaded up the hoopty to get my butt over to the shop and see what it was I was looking at on my phone.
When I got down to The Gun Room Inc. I was rewarded by Shaun as he placed one of the coolest looking AR15s I’ve ever seen into my hands. The Cobalt Kinetics Evolve felt as good as it looked, and talk about smooth… just like butter. I was instantly drawn to the two forward assists and ambi controls, and when I flipped it over I noticed a generous mag well and extension rounding out my first impression/look. “Was this a joke?” I thought to myself. Well me being me I just had to see what was under the hood so to speak so I stripped it down and started asking all the right questions.
Shaun being Shaun broke out the B.A.M.F. next and put that into my greedy hands making me want to buy another gun I don’t need but desperately want. Next came the EDGE, and it was about this time during the show and tell I put in my order for an 18″ barreled EDGE with red tube and barrel on a slate background in .223 Wylde.
The fit and finish on the Cobalt Kinetics is about as good as it gets, and thinking back to what the military would issue me it’s not even the same sport. These things are straight shooting and guaranteed to shoot sub MOA out of the box, which means they shoot better than you do. Hand crafted in the good old U.S.A. means something to me and it means something to Cobalt Kinetics too. The Cobalt Kinetics (exclusively at The Gun Room Inc. in Portland) offers unequaled reliability, faster reload speeds, unsurpassed function (and did I mention SMOOTH?) coupled with sub MOA and over the top looks makes this an AR for any serious collector or serious shooter. They don’t come cheap but nothing any good does.
Listen don’t take my word on any of this stuff, get your butt down to The Gun Room Inc. and talk to Shaun. Don’t waste your time with a lesser build clone AR made in Crapistan, do your research and come to the final answer, get a Cobalt Kinetics AR in .223 Wylde and know you got the best.
p.s. they make black rifles too!
(A .223 Wylde chamber is used on .223 caliber rifle barrels to allow them to safely fire either .223 Remington or 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition.)
